If your kid can identify all the letters and sounds you can start with reading practice. Check the Tamil reading worksheets under downloads. Just like practicing the English alphabet start practicing the Tamil letters. Since a single letter word in Tamil has a meaning you can start practicing from one letter words. I have categorized the words as one, two, and three-letter words so that it will be easier to start the reading practice.
One Letter words
For kids’ understanding, I have placed dots under each letter so that the kids can read each sound and combine the words easily. While reading the one-letter words tell the meaning of the words it represents simultaneously.
